01 / Overview

e-Hesab is a mobile-first, AI-driven pre-accounting platform for freelancers and small and medium businesses. It is localised to Azerbaijani tax law and the State Tax Service infrastructure, and automates invoices, expense tracking, payroll, DSMF and e-Qaimə processes.

02 / The problem

Freelancers and small businesses often learn their tax obligations at the last moment. Receipts stay on paper, expenses go untracked and filing deadlines are forgotten — and an accountant is too expensive at this scale.

03 / Our approach

Tax calculations are not hardcoded. Simplified tax, VAT, profit tax and payroll deductions run on a configurable dynamic engine, so nobody rewrites code when legislation changes. Paper documents become digital invoices through camera capture, OCR and the Claude API.

04 / The result

Users see their tax calendar, expected payments and potential penalties in advance. e-Qaiməs go straight to the DVX portal, and expenses entered offline sync when the network returns.

05 / Key features

What it does.

  • 01

    AI invoices and OCR

Photograph a paper receipt and turn it into a digital invoice.

  • 02

    DVX e-Qaimə integration

Submit declarations and send XML-based e-receipts automatically.

  • 03

    Dynamic tax engine

Rates are changed through configuration, not code.

  • 04

    AI virtual accountant

Assigns expenses to ledger accounts and recommends month-end closing steps.

  • 05

    Smart tax calendar

Tracks deadlines, calculates penalties and sends timely push notifications.

06 / Architecture

How it is built.

  1. Modular monolith

Isolated domains with CQRS and MediatR that could later be split into microservices.

  2. Offline-first

Expenses and invoices are saved locally in SQLite and synced to the central server when connectivity returns.

  3. ASAN Login

Sign-in through ASAN Login with JWT-based authentication.
